Years of hard work and dedication have paid off for former Riverdale High School student Rylie Spicker, who won the Miss Florida Teen USA 2020 pageant this past weekend in Coral Springs, FL.

Spicker, a Gateway resident, currently attends the University of Florida.

There was an outpouring of support and congratulations on social media for Spicker, who also took home the Miss Congeniality and Top Model awards at the prestigious contest.

“The highlight of our night was seeing our friend Rylie Spicker WIN in Teen category!! She’s devoted so many years to this goal and is a friend to everyone. We cried many happy tears for their family today!” .. said Susan H.

Jessica H. said: “I couldn’t be more excited for Rylie! No one deserves it more! Congratulations to the whole family!”

Andrina K. added, “Dreams really do come true. Make this world a better place Miss Rylie!”

Spicker will now represent Florida at the Miss Teen USA pageant this spring. The exact dates and location for this event do not appear to have been announced yet. Last year the competition was held on April 28, 2019 in Reno, Nevada.

At last year’s Miss Florida Teen USA event, Spicker placed in the top five, so Spicker and her entire family must feel exhilarated with Rylie’s first place finish this year.

We congratulate her for this huge win and for the opportunities being Miss Florida Teen USA will bring her in life and her career.

And we wish her best of luck at the Miss Teen USA competition this spring!
