Selling advertisements and blatant commercial self-interest isn’t what we do best here at the Gateway Sun.

We much prefer to present you with a more subtle form of commercial self-interest.

But once in awhile there’s just no better way to craft an article that spreads good news than to just come out and say it. So here goes.

Gateway resident and exceptionally talented hair stylist Susan Kuntz has launched Posh Studio 1 near the corner of Six Mile Cypress and Colonial. The new salon space opened this past Tuesday.

Susan, if you have not made the connection with the last name, is my wife.

Specializing in dimensional color, precision cutting and formal up-styles, Susan has over 20 years of experience as a professional hair designer. She’s the stylist who other stylists often call when they need assistance with a corrective color.

The point being, she’s really good.

I honestly don’t know how she does it, but Susan has always been an innovator who is able to see trends before they happen. Before moving to Florida, we owned a salon in the midwest where Susan created the city’s first Color Bar, introduced the Freestylist systems to our market – and while it may sound silly now looking back, several years ago she somehow envisioned that the whole “people putting feathers in their hair” thing would become a huge phenomenon months before it happened. Susan created “Feather Flair”, quite possibly selling more of those hair accessories than anyone else in the United States. True story.

Now obviously, the main reason for this article is to spread the word and to make it easier for Susan’s existing clients to find and contact her – which you can do by calling or texting 239-910-2500.

But since you’re here … if you’re ever looking for a new stylist, or want to try a Brazillian Blowout, or you messed up your own hair with box color, keep Susan in mind.

And since you’re a Gateway Sun reader, we’re offering you 20% off your first visit to Posh Studio 1 whether you’re a new customer for Susan or existing one. Just mention the Sun (preferably in a positive way) and you’ll save 20%.

Once again, to book an appointment or if you have any questions, please call or text Susan at 239-910-2500.

And congratulations to Susan! I wish her all the best with her new endeavor at Posh Studio 1.

Posh Studio 1’s address is:

9841 Bernwood Place Drive – Unit 100.
Fort Myers, FL 33966

However, I’m not just saying this to make her look good… but Susan almost never has availability to do a “walk-in” service, so you are strongly encouraged to call to set up an appointment.
