As previously mentioned, we went to the Farmer’s Market at Fenway South yesterday.
We picked up mostly things to make homemade salsa, including jalapenos, cilantro, cucumber, onions, tomatoes and green peppers. We also bought corn on the cob, a star fruit, an apple, spicy pickles, a pastry and a habanero BBQ sauce which we’ll be putting on pulled pork.
The sauce was $7, the pastry was $2 and the total for everything else was probably less than $20. My wife said she would have easily paid two to three times more for the same fruits and vegetables at Publix.
The Farmers Market will be back at jetBlue Park next Monday, January 19, 2015 from noon until 4pm.
