Another year, another major new client and hiring spree for Alta.

What began five years ago as a call center to help people all over the country sign up for health insurance has since become a support hub, providing assistance to customers from several different industries. Most recently it was automotive giant Chrysler who turned to Alta for phone support services… and now Alta’s Gateway staff will also be fielding calls on behalf of apparel company Reebok.

In order to help answer those phones, Alta says they need to hire 400 new full and part time employees. So the company will be hosting a hiring event on October 5th and October 6th from 8am to 8pm, offering on-the-spot interviews.

“What we sought in past hiring events still holds true – we are looking for people with customer-focused personalities, who communicate well and enjoy helping people. People with those traits are our most successful employees, both in sales and in customer service,” said Paul Makurat, who manages Alta’s Fort Myers operations. “And that’s what we’ll be looking for at our October Hiring Event.”

Take note that the hiring event is not at the company’s main location in Gateway, but rather at the old Sony building (which Alta has leased) located at 12451 Gateway Boulevard.

“Along with Reebok, we’re also expanding services for our existing clients,” said Makurat. “It’s an exciting time at Alta. Our people are doing an excellent job, so our clients want us to do more. In order to do more, we need to hire more people.”

Those who cannot attend this Friday or Saturday can still apply by visiting JoinAlta.com.

Reebok was purchased by Adidas in 2005.
