Need a last-minute gift idea for a soccer fanatic on your Christmas list?

Former professional soccer player Anthony Stovall is hosting a soccer camp at the Sherman Soccer Complex in Gateway from December 27-29.

The Stovi Stars camp, which is for 6 to 11 years olds, runs from 9am until noon each of the three days and costs just $99.

Stovi Stars was named “best soccer camp in SWFL” by Hula Frog and it features high-intensity trainers who will “keep your kids engaged and having fun!”

Stovall last played professionally for the Rochester Rhinos of the United Soccer League. He’s also suited up for the Charlotte Eagles (USL) and AFC Tubize (Belgian 1st division).

“Whether you are new to soccer or excelling in the College and Pro ranks, Stovi Stars trainers are committed to each player’s individual development,”says the website. “Each session consists of confidence building and skill refinement tailored specificically to you.”

EDITOR’S NOTE: No compensation was received from the Stovi Stars soccer camp for this article.

I’ve heard good things about Anthony and his training programs, so I wanted to give his camp in Gateway a shout-out.

If you’re looking for ways to get your kids off the Xbox for a few hours next week, sign them up for this soccer camp! They’ll improve their skills, get some exercise and make new friends!
