On May 3 we reported that Gartner (NYSE:IT) would be constructing a new building on the airport property.

We’ve just learned more about the project.

It turns out Gartner will actually be constructing multiple buildings on the airport property, in an area that will be known as Gartner Campus South.

If you’re wondering where Gartner Campus North would be – it will consist of the two existing buildings on Gateway Boulevard, the third large Gartner building in the works, along with the Gartner Training Center on Professional Park Drive as well as the future Gartner facility that will be placed where Summit Church is presently.

(Summit Church is constructing a new building of their own in Gateway.)

Gartner Campus South will have in excess of 140,000 square feet of office space to begin with. The plan appears to be that Gartner will start with two “interconnected” office buildings as well as one smaller building, according to graphics and documents obtained by the Gateway Sun.

An internal Gartner memo stated the company had leased “19 acres” of land at RSW. That closely matches a News-Press report on May 4 which put the precise amount of airport land being taken over by Gartner at 19.11 acres. The memo also says there will be plenty of room for expansion as well as “ample parking”.

Construction on Gartner Campus South is expected to begin within the next 60 days and the Stamford, CT-based company hopes to have up to 800 employees working out of the new facility sometime in the fall of 2018.

Gartner stock closed at $123.00 per share yesterday, giving the company a valuation of over $11 billion.
