And there it is, folks.

What we’ve all been waiting for!

Page 11, Recommendation “H” of next Tuesday’s official agenda for the Lee County School District board meeting.

Superintendent Greg Adkins will officially recommend the LCSD build its next high school on the Griffin Drive site in Gateway. The elected school board will almost certainly approve the recommendation, and that’s a wrap!

We get the school!

From page 501 of the agenda: The site selection process to build High School “MMM” on District-owned property located at Griffin Dr. (Gateway) or Joel Blvd. (Alva) has been thoroughly analyzed and evaluated by staff, several School Board Advisory Committees and the appointed Site Selection Committee and the Griffin Dr. (Gateway) site exceeds all the criteria for a high school over the Joel Blvd (Alva) site.

Congratulations everybody!
