An emergency repair will be needed to fix a water leak beneath the brand new asphalt near the intersection of Gateway Boulevard and Devonshire Lakes Drive.

Approximately 75 feet of concrete “across all three lanes” on Gateway Boulevard will have to be dug up so they can find and repair the leak. The road will then be repaved.

The cost of the repair will be $30,978.

Tyler Wainright of Tetra Tech told the Gateway Services Community Development District that the price estimate was actually on the low end of what he believed the repair could have cost. Wainright explained that the price was low because road resurfacing is an active and ongoing project in the area, so this repair was just able to be tacked on to the existing project.

Tetra Tech is the district’s main engineering contractor.

Ajax Paving will perform the resurfacing once the water leak repairs are complete.
