Gartner has begun construction on a new training center located at 12550 Professional Park Drive. Their new office space is located slightly north of, but essentially right beside, the two buildings they already occupy on Gateway Boulevard.

Within a few years, Gartner expects to have more employees in Gateway than they do at their headquarters in Stamford, Connecticuit.

Gartner is combining eight suites at the building on Professional Park Drive, and the build-out is expected to cost $1.4 million.

A quick look at the new site suggests that the demolition phase is pretty well finished, however it’s not known when the project will be completed and the training center will open.

Gartner performs research on emerging technologies, and sells that information to very large corporations. They have customers in over 80 countries, and employ more than 6,000 people.

The company trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker “IT”. Their stock closed at $86.04 per share yesterday, giving them a market cap of approximately $7 billion.
