Casa Lupita Cafe is very well known for their guacamole, but now they may become just as well known for their cakes.

And while the cakes look really good in pictures, they look and taste even better in person.

For those who weren’t aware, Casa Lupita is a Mexican restaurant located at 13120 Westlinks Terrace – Unit 10. They were recently profiled by Top100Expo.com for being one of the most authentic Mexican food restaurants in the entire country. News-Press food critic Jean Le Boeuf frequently mentions what a huge fan he is of their guac.

Now, the restaurant’s owners are baking and selling cakes, which can be seen in the new display cases they’ve set up near the front of their restaurant.casa-lupita-cakes-2-2015-12-11

In one display they offer ready-made cakes that you can take home at any time and enjoy. In the other display they showcase some of the work they’ve done with fondant icing, and it proves they can make a customized cake to look like anything you want. Some of the examples include a purse, a basketball, or a corporate logo.

Highlighting their impressive abilities is a cake that looks like a burger, fries and drink (pictured).

To be clear: the owners of the restaurants are the ones doing the baking. The cakes are made right here in Gateway. They are not being bought from a third party and re-sold.

The cakes come in various shapes and sizes and are available any time Casa Lupita is open. You can purchase one after you enjoy a meal at the restaurant, or just head over there and buy a cake to bring home and treat your family!

So if you need a cake for a special occasion, office party, or just to enjoy as a dessert, head over to Casa Lupita. You’ll be supporting a Gateway business, owned by Gateway residents, and you’ll have an absolutely impressive and delicious cake!
